And that is why DAF (Dhai Akhar Foundation) is providing such an opportunity to be the warriors of change in expanding the horizon of education in areas where infrastructure of education (school, library, book, copy and pencil) is a luxury and finding a good teacher is akin (similar) to have rendezvous with God.
Spreading education among children in areas where people are poor and even having difficulty in meeting their both ends is a big challenge. Reasons may be myriad. However primarily it is due to difficulty in convincing a parent to send his ‘bread earner’ son or daughter to an education centre, as in many case, the boy or girl works alongwith his or her parent to support the family. The challenge grows further with the social structure under which the childrens live. There by, investing even a single rupee on eductaion seems wastage of resource and time.
But people forget that the mind once enlightened cannot again become dark. And education is the only mean to come out of the vicious circle of poverty and penury.
